  1. Dogs have worms. Its a simple fact. Dogs eat things out in the yard you don’t see, such as cat poop, rabbit poop, dirt and mud in plants and debris that may have a delectable decomp smell to it, and many other gross things. Its very easy to put your dog on a regular deworming schedule to help keep that beloved pet (and yourself) parasite free.
We deworm puppies from the time they are 2 weeks old, every two weeks until months old where we reduce it to once a month, then at age 6 mos. of age we do it every other month or as needed. Worms do not always show up on a fecal test as in certain stages you will not see worm eggs or even the actual worms in the test. Its always good to rotate deworming ingredients as well to prevent the worms from building an immunity to the worm meds. We rotate with Febendezole, Oxybendezole, and Pyrantel Pomoate. they are great for getting rid of dangerous life sucking parasites. Best of luck.
